A return to school under the sign of eco-citizenship
Dear Friends and Partners,
The ReBin Foundation has been involved in the “Eco-Citizenship Education Program in Schools” (PEEMS) in Benin for several months already. The start of the school year means the resumption of activities for our teams. From October until the end of the year, more than twenty schools in the communes of Abomey-Calavi, Cotonou and Ouidah are targeted, i.e. around 25,000 primary and secondary school children. secondary.
Our awareness workshops are accompanied by three Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) games, an illustrated book for children, the creation of vegetable gardens with the installation of a composter, as well as the installation of a biogas unit in school canteens. All this was made possible thanks to the immense work of the PEEMS team which has been striving for more than a year to implement this ambitious project.
In 2025, more than 15 schools in the municipalities of Porto-Novo and Sémé-Podji will benefit from the PEEMS program. We need your support so that the project can continue in other schools and who knows, in other countries.
Let’s educate, let’s act, let’s protect: Together for an eco-responsible school!
